NEXUSBUCKS: MONEYLESS VALUE-TRANSFER AMONG NEXI
What are NexusBucks?
NexusBucks, at the lowest level, are Chaumian digital cash tokens
which provide secure transfer of "tokens" with protections against
double spending. They run using the MagicMoney suite of a client and a
server written by Pr0duct Cypher. Nexi around the world plan to use
NexusBucks as a form of money-less transfer of value, much as a LETS
scheme.
How will we use NexusBucks?
When a new Nexus is founded, the Nexus Exchange will mint one new
NexusBuck for every bps of bandwidth and give them to the Nexus
formed. The Nexus can do with the NexusBucks given to it as the Nexus
pleases -- ideally the Nexus will pay people who do services for the
Nexus with Nexus bucks and honor nexus bucks as a form of payment for
the services which the Nexus provides.
How will the NEXUS-Berkeley use NexusBucks?
At first the NEXUS-Berkeley will accept NexusBucks as payment for up
to half the price of a service that we offer. Once our bottom line is
secure we hope to open it up so that services can be purchased
entirely with NexusBucks. We will make offers to the internet at large
to buy services and "hire" people to work for NexusBucks. Available is
a listing of ways to get NexusBucks from the NEXUS-Berkeley.
